Is what you're passionate about suited for YOU? How do you turn your passion into your dream career? I say, "Do it with clarity." Remember, everything is a process. What’s your process? Yes, sometimes you even have to experience something else before you discover your true passion.
I came across an article online the other day while browsing the web: “Turning Your Passion into Your Career? You Better be Prepared.”
Are you clear about what you're searching for?
It’s important to know that being passionate about something doesn't necessarily mean it's suited for you. And just because you like something doesn't mean it's your passion. Sometimes we even mistake fantasy with passion. It's vital that you know the difference.
I highly recommend that you don't quit your day job prematurely. Just because you have a feeling or desire, or even a passion, there is still much more to consider. For most, it's a process of discovery, patience, and planning. For some it’s a leap of faith. But no matter the route, having clarity helps you make the right decision at the right time.
“There is no passion to be found playing small — in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
— Nelson Mandela
"The most important thing in terms of performing well in work is not whether or not you love what you do, but whether or not you are suited… to the job," according to an article written by Yohei Tsunemi.
It's possible to find a way to infuse passion in your work, as well as in everything you do. This will change how you see things. When you're passionate about what you're doing, it will become more enjoyable -- and it won't feel so much like work anymore. Where there is no passion, there is no enthusiasm, no real commitment, and no fulfillment.
If you find yourself frustrated, not sure if you have the skills to do what you think you're suppose to be doing, then you may want to rethink what you’re doing and why you're doing it. You still have the choice to find the passion for what you are currently doing -- and make sure you acquire the necessary skills and training for the job. And/or you can find YOUR true passion and begin the process of working toward your true purpose.
