Think you want to write a book? Do you know why you want to do it? Publishing a book isn't solely about the message, story, or expertise you wish to share. It would be best to know "why" you want to do it in the first place. Is it for superficial reasons, or is there a deeper purpose?
I'm no best-selling author; that is not why I write. However, I am an author who is clear about my why: My why is always to learn by doing and then make each experience repeatable and easier for someone else to navigate. Why? It allows me to practice and observe the process, work demands, and obstacles. I also get to feel the joy of accomplishing the goal. My why is the driving force behind what inspires me to inspire and help others know that building their dreams is not only possible but practical.
What is your why? Before you set out to write your first book, know with absolute certainty why you want to do it. Understanding why you're doing it puts you in the right mindset to write, publish, and write again!

INSIGHT: Creating repeatable success is to know where you want to go and why.
