Keep the Faith

If you’re breathing and in good health, you most likely have a vision for your life. Unfortunately, everyone with a vision doesn’t act on it. And, in many cases, we do act on it, but it may not work out as planned. We can even become discouraged and throw the idea away as though it were garbage. But if you valued it before, it may still be worth your while pursuing if you still believe in it.

The Rebirthing of a Dream in 2018 

I have a background in theatre and broadcast journalism -- and dabbled in TV news many years ago. Although I never thought much about being a radio host, the opportunity presented itself about a year ago. Not having a clue where to start or how to produce a radio program, I seized the opportunity anyway. I was on a mission to inspire and empower 7000 women and girls by 2017; the radio program would be an excellent platform to support my vision.  So, we named the show, “Empower 7000 Radio.” Unfortunately, after several months on the air, I decided to end the show due to the long commute to the station to record the segments, time constraints, and other factors. But the dream of having my own women’s empowerment show did not end there. It was still awake inside me waiting to be rebirthed in a more impactful and empowering way. I wanted my own podcast. Plans are underway for me to live the dream by producing the show in 2018. The show will feature "empower talk" interviews with women. The name and theme of the show will be announced in an upcoming blog.

Why is it necessary that I share this story with you? It’s important because I want you to know that when your dream doesn't work out quite the way you want the first time, that doesn’t mean it is over. Just make a few adjustments and start again. As long as your dream is awake inside of you, it can be reborn again and again. Don’t give up on your dreams before they have a chance to live.  It’s time to Live Your Dreams Awake in 2018!
